Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Isreal, which are borne by me from the belly,
which are carried from the womb:
And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs wilI carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even
I will carry, and will deliver you.
To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like? They lavis gold out of the
bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.
They bear him upon the shoulder, they carr him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he
not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet he will not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
What An Awesome God We Serve
We should stand in deep respect, in reverant fear and in endless wonder toward our great God Jehovah! God
should be our one and only priority. He alone should hold that #1 place in our life. We should give that part
of ourself to noone else.
Your Bible says in Deuteronomy 6:5, And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy might. Our Lord should be the sole object of our worship, the sole object of our allegiance and
the sole object of our affection.
Should anyone or anything take that place in our life beside our God, then that person or that thing becomes and idol.
That thing or that someone is more important to us than our God. We put that thing higher than our God. What a
shame for a people who claim to be serving the very God of heaven.
God and God alone is who we need to bow down too. God and God alone is who we need to lean on and trust. We
need more people like the 3 Hebrew boys in the church today that will say no matter what happens, we will not bow to
anything or anyone but our God.
In this 46th chapter of Isaiah, it is weighing the power of the Lord with idols. God's people had foolishly
and childishly turned away from him and were worshipping vain and empy idols.
They had put their trust in objects made of wood, silver and gold that were incapable of ever feeling or thinking.
The Lord is saying through Isaiah, Listen to me. You don't need idols because I carry you even from the womb.
I keep you through until you have gray hair. I keep you through to your old age. I have made you. I
will bear you. I will carry you and I will deliver you!
In other words, God is saying I made you and I'm certainly capable of taking care of you. I will be whatever you
need. I will bear your burdens for you. I will lift you up and carry you through each and every circumstance and
through every situation.
I will rescue you in time of trouble. I will always make a way of escape for you. I will never leave you.
I will never forsake you. I will be with you even till the end of the world! What an awesome God we serve!!!
The Lord said, What can you compare me with? Who can be my equal? Who is like me? It is certainly not
a man made idol that can't see or hear--that you have to bear up--that you even have to carry on your shoulder.
When you put it in its place, it has no power to move itself about yet you fall down before it and give it your worship.
Yet you cry unto it even though it has no power to hear or answer you, though it cannot save you out of your trouble.
Oh, but God says I can, I will and I do. He is an awesome God.
We trust this will bless you. The word of God never goes forth void. More of this word
is available on tape. God loves you and he is always there to meet your need.
